Kaligast is the god of chaos and death in many universes. He's also the god who presides over the Endless Plateau, where the city of Tal Sharnis is located.

The warped-looking purple moon that shows up over Tal Sharnis in some of the nighttime scenes in Volume One is called the Kaligast Moon.

In addition to being a god of chaos and death, some people also consider Kaligast the god of Weird Luck. Those people aren't entirely wrong, but they're not entirely right. 

Kaligast is actually one of the two gods of Weird Luck.

We'll say more about this later on, in future volumes of the main storyline.
